Jordan Behan - Strutta
Jordan has been blogging about his insights into the world of social media marketing for four years - telltenfriends.com and at jordanbehan.com. As a social media and marketing specialist, he has contributed his writings to a number of campaigns, blogs and books including “The Age of Conversation,” a collaboration by over 100 bloggers that benefits Variety, the Children’s Charity. At Strutta, Jordan writes the bulk of the blog content, plans and organizes community relations activities, and supports and interacts with Strutta members through a number of social media channels.
Prior to joining the Strutta team, Jordan was the President and founder of Tell Ten Friends Marketing, a Vancouver-based social media firm that was recently selected as one of the top 30 marketing and advertising blogs in Canada. Previous to his foray into the web marketing space, he worked as a television producer for CHUM TV and as a reporter and photographer for a local newspaper. When he is not at Strutta, Jordan can be found snowboarding on the local mountains, waterskiing or wakeboarding at Powell lake or enjoying a round of golf. But all of those activities come in second place to watching movies at home and traveling with his wife, Alex.

Kris Krug - Social Media Expert, President Raincity Studios
After publishing a ground-breaking online magazine for several years in California, Kris relocated again to BC to become president of Bryght - a “web 2.0″ start-up and Drupal open source pioneer. Through enthusiastic outreach, Kris helped create a marketplace for community-centric websites and his evangelism spawned an eco-system of related companies in Vancouver. In 2007 Bryght was acquired by full service web agency Raincity Studios of which Kris now serves as President.
Educated in Communications and Philosophy at Trinity Western College, Kris also moonlights as a fashion photographer, shooting subjects from executives to rock bands for fun and profit and organizes photowalks for aspiring and established photographers to exchange tips.
Well known in the web social media and blogging community, Kris regularly speaks at conferences and media programs around the world about Internet tools, new media, and evolving copyright standards. He is an organizer of the Vancouver tech conference Northern Voice as well as a catalyst for workshops and “un”conferences - most recently in Beijing and Shanghai where Kris participated in international economic leadership events in advance of the 2008 and 2010 Olympics.
Kris’ skills bridge the technology, business and art communities. Through his unique approach to aesthetics and open business, he encourages collaboration to produce personal and professional expression online and openly assists new tech enterprises with entrepreneurial challenges.

Mark Leiren-Young - writer, screenwriter, play-write, host, and producer
Mark has written in almost every medium in almost every genre. He recently wrote, directed and produced The Green Chain, which premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival in August and was just nominated for a Canadian Screen-writing Award for best Canadian feature film script of 2007. He’s taking a multi-platform approach to promoting the movie - and the issues in the movie - which includes blogging, hosting a podcast series for The Tyee and recording and releasing a new environmentally-themed CD, Greenpieces, with his satirical duo Local Anxiety. Mark is a longtime contributor to The Georgia Straight and his other journalism credits include writing for most publications in BC as well as Time, Maclean’s and The Utne Reader. His new play, Yorick!, premieres in July at the Saskatoon Fringe and he has a new book being released this fall. For more on Mark visit his website.

Leah Mallen - Producer , Twofold Films Inc.
Leah Mallen has been working in the film and television industry for over twelve years. She attended the acclaimed Canadian Film Centre, and studied Film and Directing at New York University. After working for several years independently as a casting director, publicist, production manager and producer, Leah joined the Vancouver-based company Screen Siren Pictures in 2001 where she produced and developed various film and television projects over six years. She served as Vice President of the company in 2005/2006. During that time she produced several acclaimed film and television projects and oversaw development their slate. Leah’s various produced film and television credits have garnered many awards, including a Best Short Film Award at the Cannes Film Festival, (Shoes off! 1999) and Best New Documentary at the Zurich Film Festival (Hammer and Tickle, 2006)
Recently, Leah formed the company Twofold Films, her own film and television company where she will be producing a slate of documentary and dramatic projects with award winning and acclaimed directors and producers. She is an active board member of both the Documentary Organization of Canada and the Hot Docs Festival in Toronto and is an active member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.

Boris Mann - Raincity Studios, Bootup Labs
Boris is a leader in utilizing open source. After working for Nortel in Ottawa, advancing new technologies like VoIP, he returned to Vancouver to start the first-ever Drupal-powered commercial company, Bryght. Currently, he is the VP of Product Development at Raincity Studios and Co-Founder of Boot-Up Labs. Aside from creating new web based technologies, he is a chronic event organizer, frequently speaks to groups on open standards, and is the marketing manager of the Drupal Association. Boris was also just accepted into the CBC’s Digital Development Labs.

Gary Marcuse - Programming Executive for the CBC in BC
Gary is a member of the program development group in Vancouver and the liaison for the CBC documentary unit. In 2008 he organized the Digital Development Labs in collaboration with New Media BC and BC Film. Before joining the CBC in 2004 he worked as an independent filmmaker, producing and directing documentaries and educational media projects.

Chris Mizzoni - Author of “Clancy with the Puck”, Studio B Productions
Born and raised in southern Ontario. Moved to Vancouver in 1994 after attending Sheridan College School of Animation. Has been with Studio B Productions since and is currently a supervisor and designer on various shows.
Clancy with the Puck has been in the works since the days of Sheridan College and was originally conceived of as a student film.
Chris plays ice hockey twice a week, cycles to work and goes camping with his wife, Nancy and 2 year old daughter Dreya. Avid collector of vintage sports memorabilia, books, programs and even has a seat from Toronto’sMaple Leaf Gardens in his den.

Monica Moore - New Media Analyst, Telefilm
Monica Moore is currently the Acting New Media Manger for Telefilm Canada’s Western Region, and has been with Telefilm since 2001.
Telefilm is a federal cultural agency dedicated to developing and promoting the Canadian audiovisual industry. Telefilm provides financial support to the private sector to create distinctively Canadian productions that appeal to domestic and international audiences. The Corporation also administers the Canada New Media Fund. The Fund is a national program which supports the creation and distribution of interactive digital cultural content and helps to promote Canadian interactive digital companies at national and international markets.
Prior to Telefilm, Monica worked at film festivals across North America, including the Vancouver International Film Festival, Sundance, AFI Fest, and San Francisco International Film Festival.

Colleen Nystedt - CEO & Founder movieset.com

Robert Ouimet - Partner, At Large Media
Robert Ouimet is an award winning journalist and producer who spearheaded the creation and development of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s Radio 3 (www.cbcradio3.com). His vision and leadership created this unique cross-media project that has won over 30 international awards, including 3 Webby Awards, multiple New York Festival Awards, Communication Arts Awards for Excellence and the Prix Italia.
His involvement with the Internet in the early 90’s led to pioneering work both within the CBC and in Internet broadcasting. His show RealTime made Internet history when it became the first interactive program heard live around the world.
He’s now with At Large Media.

Nilesh Patel - Director, Producer, Roaming Pictures
Nilesh is a Vancouver based filmmaker whose passion is telling the stories of us all coming back together. Nilesh has won awards nationally and internationally for his films which have played in festivals and on television around the world. Nilesh splits his time between teaching Film through the non-profit, Projections: Film and TV for street involved youth and creating his own works for public display. Currently Nilesh is traveling to screenings of his award winning feature documentary, Brocket 99 Rockin The Country while also developing his next three films, Be A Man and Growing, Growing, Gone!, both documentaries, and Himalaya & Kumbaya Come to Funky Town, which will be his feature dramatic debut.

He has written one novel, Up in Ontario, published in 2003. He is a partner with Work Industries, a web marketing consultancy.

Kate Trgovac - President, LintBucket Media
An Internet trailblazer from pre-Web days, Kate Trgovac started her digital marketing career when plain text email was the marketing tool of choice. Over her 17-year career, she has worked for several clients, including Nike, Molson, Nabisco, Procter and Gamble, and Petro-Canada. In 2007, Kate founded LintBucket Media, a boutique marketing agency headquartered in Vancouver that focuses on social media, community building and co-creation between brands and their audiences. She writes about the intersection of marketing and technology on her blog mynameiskate.ca. Kate also publishes OneDegree.ca, an online magazine that provides the inside scoop on Internet marketing and social media for Canadian marketers.
