‘Characters’ are becoming quite popular on social media platforms. They can help tell the story, allow for audience interaction, create ‘buzz’, and keep your fans talking. There are right and wrong ways to do this. Our panel of three social media savvy gals, with a history in broadcast, will explore the ‘effective’ and ‘destructive’ ways to use social media in your stories. They’ll also give you the low down on how to personally make best use of social media.
Panelists: Monica Hamburg, Carol Sill, Gillian Shaw

Panel #3 – Emerging Trends and Technology
The World of Technology is changing rapidly. As storytellers, we need to keep up and be apprised of new and emerging technologies, applications and platforms. Knowing what’s in the works allows us to use our creativity to utilize new technologies to tell stories and create ‘new media’. Find out from our technology, business and artistic experts about some of the new technologies available and what they see on the horizon.
